30 January 2021 Disabled Practices Two EMIS practices are showing as disabled in the sharing agreements file of the daily delta extract from 30/01/2021. This has stopped any data for these practices being received from EMIS, until the practice is showing as 'enabled' in the sharing agreement file. This is a temporary issue with the EMIS extract and is usually rectified by EMIS, without the need for practice activity.

Resolved - data received 31/01/21

26 January 2021 Missing EMIS Codes A number of EMIS local codes have been received that are not in the reference information we receive from EMIS, so the DDS is unaware of what these clinical codes are for, or what they mean.

Unknown codes received in the EMIS extracts are not transformed into the DDS, so data items using these codes will not be transformed at this time (although all other received data will continue to be processed as normal). As we are unaware of what these codes are for, we can't say what the impact of this information not being transformed will be.

We have requested the required information from EMIS and once received, the recently omitted data will be transformed.

Resolved - Missing drug and clinical codes were provided by EMIS 01/02/21. Any affected records have now been processed.

25 January 2021 No daily deltas received for EMIS001, EMIS002, EMIS003 and EMIS004 All EMIS practices publishing data to the DDS have their data uploaded to one of six EMIS SFTPs. We receive an extract from each SFTP daily, however a daily extract for SFTP EMIS001, EMIS002, EMIS003 and EMIS004 has not been received since 23/01/2021.

Notice from EMIS 'Yesterday we experienced a technical problem that affected the delivery of extracts for some customers. As a result, we are sorry that you did not receive your regular extract today, 25 January. Our technical teams identified that is was a hardware problem and engaged with our hardware partners who have now resolved the issue. We can now confirm that the issue is resolved and you will receive your regular extracts from tomorrow, 26 January, onwards'

22 January 2021 Disabled Practices Three EMIS practices are showing as disabled in the sharing agreements file of the daily delta extract from 21/01/2021. This has stopped any data for these practices being received from EMIS, until the practice is showing as 'enabled' in the sharing agreement file. This is a temporary issue with the EMIS extract and is usually rectified by EMIS, without the need for practice activity.

26 August 2020 Essential Bulk Extracts Maintenance this 28th-31st August The following is a notification we have received from EMIS Health regarding their bulk extract service for maintenance this weekend 28th-31st August. This will affect customers using a Discovery Data Service Remote Subscriber Database. Please review the notification below and contact your Account Manager if you have any queries.

Notification from EMIS Health as follows:

EMIS are required to undertake essential maintenance on the underlying architecture supporting Bulk Extract Interface in order to maintain service performance and availability, and keep within the boundaries of their support agreements with vendors.

This work is being planned to take place urgently over this coming Bank Holiday weekend, with the expectation that this will minimise disruption. The work is expected to take up to four days whilst we work with the system vendors (Microsoft and HPe) carrying out the maintenance.

As a result, EMIS do not expect to generate any extracts from 28th August – 31st August inclusive. When extract generation restarts on 1st September, there will be a risk of a reduced service and suspension of bulk and rebulks for up to 1 week whilst the extract servers catch up with the data processing. No data will be lost.

EMIS apologise for the disruption that this may cause, it is unfortunately unavoidable and wholly necessary to ensure future service continuity.

We will send a further communication once the work has completed.

13 November 2020 Missing clinical codes On the 30th October EMIS released an update to their system which provided us with a large extract of missing EMIS clinical codes, effecting circa 1.5 million records across all the EMIS practices in the DDS. This has meant that all the EMIS extracts that have been processed by the DDS, are now being re-processed where the missing codes have been identified, to apply these missing codes to the data. This has in turn had a knock-on effect with our inbound data processing queues and has resulted in a back log of daily deltas in the queues waiting to be processed across multiple practices for TPP, EMIS and Vision. LHS are doing all that they can to process the data through the queues as quickly as possible. Resolved

22 January 2021 Local code not received A TPP local code has not been received from TPP, so the DDS is unable to transform practices with this missing code in their record. This should be resolved as part of the SRCode table build, noted below, expected to be received over the weekend. This missing code is stopping us from processing the daily extracts for the sites affected.

Resolved - Codes provided by TPP 25/01/2021 and practice daily extracts transformed.

22 January 2021 Strategic Reporting Extracts - essential maintenance TPP have informed us that they are performing some essential maintenance work which may affect the Strategic Reporting Extracts in your area. This work may cause your next delta extract to be larger than usual and therefore may include data which has already been included in your previous extract. It may also cause the extract to only contain data up to 14:00, however any subsequent data will be included in your next extract.

Resolved - extracts intended for 24/01 and 25/01 received by the DDS on 26/01/2021. The DDS is now up to date with the data received from the SystmOne Gateway.

22 January 2021 Reference data release - causing delays TPP have performed a reference data release today. This means that the SRCode table has been scheduled for a full build; this will cause a major delay in the downloading of data to the SystmOne Gateway, and similar delays uploading the extracts to DDS.

Resolved - SRCode table received for each practice by 26/01/2021.
